How I collect, use and protect your information.

This privacy policy explains how Mimi Paton Coaching ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses, and protects information from visitors to this website, including anyone who submits the Apply for Coaching form.
When you apply for coaching through this website, I collect:
I don't collect payment details through this website. Payment is arranged separately once we're working together.
I use this information only to respond to your enquiry and discuss coaching with you, keep a record of prospective and current clients, and deliver the coaching service itself, if you go on to become a client. I don't sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Enquiries submitted through this site are received via Netlify Forms. Client information for those I go on to coach is stored in TrueCoach (for online coaching) and my own client records, kept securely.
If you enquire but don't go on to become a client, I'll keep your details for a reasonable period in case you'd like to follow up, then delete them. If you become a client, I keep your information for the duration of our work together and for a reasonable period afterward in line with standard record-keeping practice for coaching and physiotherapy services.
I use Kit, an email marketing platform, to send occasional marketing emails, such as training tips, race prep insight, and coaching content, to people who choose to sign up.
Signing up to this newsletter collects your email address, and your first name if you provide it. This is entirely separate from, and requires separate, explicit consent from, any information collected through the Apply for Coaching form. Applying for coaching does not automatically sign you up to the newsletter, and joining the newsletter does not enrol you in coaching, each requires its own opt-in.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link included in every email I send.
Newsletter data is stored and processed by Kit on my behalf, acting as my data processor. You can read Kit's own privacy policy at kit.com/privacy.
Under UK GDPR, marketing emails are only sent to people who have given clear, affirmative consent to receive them. That consent is separate from any other consent given on this site, and can be withdrawn at any time by unsubscribing.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent for me to hold your information at any time. To do this, just get in touch directly.
